This is a personal project created at home with a very simple setup using only natural light, focusing primarily on the play and the creation that results from it. I detached myself from all the ‘rules’ and technical skills to tune in with my imagination and the magic it can bring out of everyday objects.
I see a character in every object. When I combine them in a composition it creates playful and somewhat theatrical dynamics.
The process of discovering these dynamics is painstaking yet meditative. It requires staying present and seeing what’s in front of me and what that suggests. The way the images emerged in my hands is very similar to sculpting. Only at the end do I see the story it tells and the emotions it evokes, reflecting the core feelings inside, the desires and stages of self-exploration expressed unconsciously through a simple visual image.
