This is a personal project created at home with a very simple setup using only natural light, focusing primarily on the play and the creation that results from it. I detached myself from all the ‘rules’ and technical skills to tune in with my imagination and the magic it can bring out of everyday objects.
I see a character in every object. When I combine them in a composition it creates playful and somewhat theatrical dynamics.
The process of discovering these dynamics is painstaking yet meditative. It requires staying present and seeing what’s in front of me and what that suggests. The way the images emerged in my hands is very similar to sculpting. Only at the end do I see the story it tells and the emotions it evokes, reflecting the core feelings inside, the desires and stages of self-exploration expressed unconsciously through a simple visual image.

The missing foundation
Life progresses at a rapid pace. Things are shifting so fast that the basics of our human nature and our own unique perception of truth blurs between already established knowledge and new information we receive every day, from thousands of sources. These days, I face existential questions myself more often than ever before.
Personal identity, beliefs, social norms, politics, and human relations are struggling to take a definite shape in my mind. It’s all shifting from what I believe, or believed, into multiple possible ways of processing information, influenced by an overwhelming flow of concepts on how one should live life. While observing the collective consciousness transforming toward an all-inclusive mindset, it becomes harder to stay with one’s own established ways. This questioning of every action forces to shift in perspectives uncomfortably. When there is “this and that at once”— herein lies the identity crisis.
With this body of work, created using a double exposure technique, I aim to portray my fears and confusion about self, observing the effects of having a double vision both on a personal and global level. Hoping to find a clear view that speaks to our hearts, I’m asking – “Is your vision clear?”

As my observations deepened with time and experience it has become clear that peace is a natural state that is greatly disturbed in busy cities which push us apart from nature. With the acceptance that we are unable to fully process the brokenness of our world, maintaining peace of mind can be a difficult task.
This ongoing series of landscapes and cityscapes don't carry a specific message. Instead, it is a collection of interactions with my surroundings that reflect a state of release and belonging. When I allow myself to accept everything as it is and become fully present, I feel like I’m dreaming. Because in dreams we don’t think but simply experience. This has led me to an intuitive understanding of the current zeitgeist that urges us to examine our well-being in cities and find ways to reunite with the natural state.
I invite the viewer to meditate into that dream state - the flawless stillness in the now that feels like nothing and everything all at once. A space for peace I call eternity.

Dear Ocean, contain all my emotions
Carry me as you carry all the Creatures in You
Wash away my Human worries
All the dirt of the World I gracefully contain in Me
And bring me pretty shells instead
So I can listen to your deep Breath
And breathe with you forever
Dear Ocean, I love you
